My friend Harry from Germany sent me these interesting little diecast. I couldn’t find out much about these sets, so I asked the knowledgeable guys at the Matchbox Collectors Community Hall (MCCH) and several of them agreed these are made by Pioneer Toys.
The boxes say:
PAN TOYS STREET RUNNER Die Cast model with plastic parts with pull-back action opening bonnet + doors
In my last entry I mentioned the set of Tomica Limited LEXUS LFA 5MODELS. What I didn’t mention was the lottery that went along with it. In every set there was a slip of paper with an entry code and some instructions. Qualifying buyers could register online, enter their registration code and become eligable to win a Mat Black (Nurburgring Package) Lexus LFA. Only 100 of these models would be given away through this lottery.
I took a chance and entered the lottery, using my the address of my wife’s parents living in Japan. I didn’t expect to win, but there was a small bit of hope in me that thought it might be possible. So it came as a big surprise when I received word from my sister-in-law that a package had arrived and it was a Mat Black Lexus LFA! My sister-in-law took a few quick photos to tease me with until she is able to send the model to me…
I found this Toyota Camry model at the Toyota dealership I work at. It is made by Sunnyside Ltd. The company’s website is http://www.sunnyside.com.hk/, but the current website only shows two Toyota being offered – a Yaris and a RAV4. Either the website is out of date, or the Camry below is no longer made…?

Back in January I reviewed the blue Toyota 4Runner. Since the first version was released, 2 more versions have become available – a biege and a red version. The two newest versions come on the new 2011 packaging which features a large illustration of the vehicle.
The 16th Annual All Toyotafest was held on May 14th, 2011 at the Queen Mary in Long Beach. As I have for the past 12 years, I volunteered my services and was busy helping out in the main booth. This show has grown from it’s early days with only 10 cars in attendance, to the current show which had over 400 vehicles on display. All shapes and sizes of Toyota, Lexus and Scion were to be seen. I was busy helping out all day, but I did have time to take some pictures, a few of which I’ll show here. Enough talk ~ let the pictures speak for themselves…

Toyota’s first Supercar, meet Lexus’ first Supercar.
